Valenbots

2-year-old Calvin was napping while we took this picture in
2014 . . . or none of us would have constructed ANYthing

It all started back in 2005. Allen and I like to give Valentines to each other, elementary-school style. So, we started making Valentine Robots on the first Family Home Evening of February, the better to hold our sundry Valentine cards. The Valen-bots remind us to tell each other we love each other . . . and it's even more fun to do now that our kids are older.You can click on the links below to see more pictures and info from each year, or just scroll down and enjoy the Valenbot Gallery!

{I don't save robot stuff all year long--just for about four or five weeks after Christmas.  Instead of throwing cans and boxes and bottles and little pieces of junk away, I put it in a Rubbermaid tote in the garage.  Then we dump it all out and start construction.  Hot glue is a MUST!}

(We've been Valenbotting longer than I've
been on Blogger . . . now that's tradition!)

Read about Valentine's Day 2019 here.

2021 was a little sad while Truman was off at BYU-Idaho

We didn't even open Valentine's until the 19th of February because we were never all home at the same time. That's the stage of life we are in.

2024!  19 years of Valenbotting!  We're going to have to do something special for the 20th anniversary next year!

2025!  TWENTY years of making Valenbots!  It's such a fun tradition!
